When a fire severely damaged a home in Corinth, Texas, we knew the family needed more than just repairs. They needed a team they could trust to respond quickly, guide them through the insurance process, and help turn a crisis into a fresh start. From the first site visit to the final walkthrough, we focused on restoring not just the structure, but the safety, comfort, and character of the home they loved.

The Challenge

In late 2022, the homeowners at 2210 Post Oak Ct experienced a severe attic fire that caused significant structural and water damage. TriStar arrived on site as soon as it was safe to assess the situation, while the fire department was still present. Emergency board-up was required immediately since the front door had been forced open during the response. The roof had already begun to collapse from the fire and was further compromised by the water used to extinguish the flames.

The damage was extensive enough that the insurance company declared the home a total loss. The clients reached the maximum on their policy for both dwelling and contents coverage. With much of the interior beyond repair and the structural integrity in question, the home needed to be completely gutted and rebuilt from the studs up.

The Approach

TriStar worked closely with the insurance adjuster to build a full scope of work and ensure the homeowners had clarity throughout the process. We also partnered with a water extraction company and a specialty furniture restoration team to salvage valuable antiques that held personal meaning for the family.

Once the home was cleared and dried out, we installed new insulation, drywall, and structural roof framing, along with a brand-new roofing system. The homeowners took this opportunity to redesign their space. We removed the enclosed kitchen columns to create an open-concept layout, refinished an exposed beam in the living room, and added a new beam to complement the reconfigured kitchen.

The project included all-new cabinetry, countertops, appliances, and a center island, along with a full update to every bathroom. We replaced flooring throughout, rebuilt the stair treads and railings, and installed new light fixtures. To preserve the home’s original character, we kept the judges paneling in the front area and integrated it with the new design.

The Outcome

What started as a devastating fire turned into a full transformation. The rebuilt home is brighter, more open, and better suited to the family’s lifestyle today. The finishes are fresh and modern, but the layout and preserved details keep the heart of the home intact.

From first response and insurance coordination to final finishes and walkthrough, TriStar guided the homeowners every step of the way. The result is a home that isn’t just restored, but reimagined with care, craftsmanship, and attention to what matters most.
